Woodson’s Message to the White House

The State of Union was top of mind for many Americans last night, but this jewel of a speech by Green Bay Packers cornerback Charles Woodson is my favorite. Prior to the Bears/Packers NFC Championship Game, President Obama (a self-proclaimed Bears fan) predicted a Bears victory. If the Bears had won, Obama agreed to attend the Super Bowl. Well we all know how the game went…
Following the game, Woodson delivered an impassioned speech (video link) followed by a “1-2-3 White House” breakdown:
The president don’t want to come watch us win the Super Bowl? Guess what? We’ll go see him.
Today Obama visited Green Bay. Upon arriving, he was greeted by Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt. With a big grin, Jim handed the President an autographed Charles Woodson jersey. Included with the signature: “See you at the White House … Go Packers!”
